A Blair Waldorf Thanksgiving

Hey Y'all, it is confession time.

I once truly obsessed loved Gossip Girl. I read through all of the books while in high school and when I found out they were making it into a show, I moved on to that. Blair Waldorf was my hero. She was pretty, smart and little crazy. Well, more than a little. But I loved her, flaws and all. I started wearing headbands, tights, and I even got that orange phone she had in season 1. But about half way through the show, I stopped watching. *GASP* Life just got a little crazy, it was around the time I was getting married, so Gossip Girl and Blair fell to the side.

But don't worry, I will finish the series. I actually just started watching again, picking up around the time I left off and I am already sucked back into all their drama. It's great.

Earlier today I watched "Gaslit" from season 4. It is the Thanksgiving episode of the season, which makes it one of my favorites. I love the Thanksgiving episodes. Thanksgiving is Blair's favorite holiday (and mine), but unlike me, their Thanksgiving is served with a side of crazy.

My absolute favorite thing about each Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episode is Blair's fashion.

(Season 1)

(Season 2)

(Season 3)

(Season 3)

(Season 4)

(Season 6)

I am pretty much in love with with her dress from season 4, but I honestly love all of her looks. And if any one can pull of patterned tights it is Blair Waldorf - look at the bows in season 1 and the flowers in season 2!

Top 5: Imaginary Worlds

The Wizarding World

If you have been reading my blog for a little while you have probably figured out that I am absolutely crazy about Harry Potter. If I could visit or live in any imaginary world it would be The Wizarding World. There are so many awesome things about it! First - MAGIC! It would be awesome to be a witch and use magic. I also love the old world feel of The Wizarding World. I love that they use quills instead of pens, that they still use coins as payment instead of credit cards, and that they use owls to deliver mail instead of email. Of course they are able to live this way, without computers or phones, because they have magic which wins compared to the Internet any day.

The Land of Oz

The Wizard of Oz was one of my favorite movies as a kid, even though the monkey's scared me! ha. I love Oz. I love all the different people, the talking animals, and the techo colored horses. When the new movie, Oz the Great and Powerful came out, I was so excited to see more of the land of Oz and I was not disappointed. I was able to see different scenery, more of the Emerald City and the little china doll town.

The Enchanted Forest

Once Upon a Time is an awesome show that combines so many fairy tales into one place: The Enchanted Forest. I love that all of the fairy tales belong to one place and are all intertwined and so many of the characters know each other, it's awesome. Their world is magical, exciting and unpredictable. I would like to be Snow White for just a day in The Enchanted Forest.

Camp Half-Blood

Camp Half-Blood belongs in the world of Percy Jackson. It is a place where half-blood children go to be safe and train there powers since they each have one part that is a Greek God. I love the whole world created in Percy Jackson - not just Camp Half-Blood though. I love the Greek Mythology, the excitement and quest, and even the underworld was really interesting (but I would only want to stay in the part that was for the good people or the little island paradise part).

Narnia

Narnia is awesome. It is beautiful, filled with talking animals and their leader is an all knowing lion. I would love to visit or live in Narnia where I could ride a horse and talk to him at the same time or fight along side a beaver. I mean, even the trees can be used as communication and how can you not think that is awesome?

Top 5: TV Besties

My beloved Teen Wolf has come to the end of Season 3A and won't be on again until January 2014. *sigh* As upsetting as this is, I got to thinking. I love this show for all of the mystery, gore, teen love, and excitement, but what drives the show more than anything is the bromance of Stiles and Scott. So I thought I would share my favorite TV friendships.

Scott and Stiles: Teen Wolf

Of course this is first! These two have been friends for a very long time, well before Scott was a werewolf. They support each other during every challenge and crazy mystery they are hit with including being turned into a werewolf, fighting monsters, have their parents kidnapped, and even girl troubles. One of my absolute favorite scenes with these two is at the end of season 2, when Scott loses his girl (among some other things) and Stiles tells him that he will always have his friendship. AWW. (It was made less cheesy than it sounds) But that moment is important to the show because even though characters and alliances change; their friendship doesn't.

Veronica and Wallace: Veronica Mars

Veronica and Wallace have the perfect female/male friendship on TV. When Veronica helped Wallace down from the flag pole he was ducted tapped to his first day at school they quickly became friends. Wallace was always there to help Veronica with her cases and they supported each other during hard times. They also never failed to make each other laugh.

Chandler and Joey: Friends

Chandler and Joey have a awesome bromance and kind of a yin and yang to each other. Joey is sloppy, an actor, silly and a little dumb. Chandler is punny, sarcastic, responsible, and has a 9-5 office job. They live in an apartment together, although since Joey is out of work so often, I have a sneaky suspicion that Chandler ends up paying most of the rent. They went through many ups and downs (like the time Chandler kissed Joey's sister while drunk and then couldn't remember which sister he kissed) but always worked it out and remained friends.

Haley and Brooke: One Tree Hill

These two didn't start out besties, but grew to an awesome friendship any girl would be lucky to have. Brooke was popular in high school and only referred to Haley as "tutor girl" for a while. By the time graduation rolled around they were incredibly close. One Tree Hill had a ton of crazy stories (kidnappers, psychos, love triangles, deaths, stalkers and so much more) But these girls made it through and took care of each other, like the time Haley let Brooke move into her apartment or when Haley had Brooke and her family over for Thanksgiving when Brooke couldn't bake apple pie or the time when Brooke supported Haley when Nathan was kidnapped. An important moment between these two happens right before Brooke's wedding when she realizes that even though Peyton was her high school bff, Haley has been there for her more and is her new bestie. (sorry Peyton, you shouldn't have moved. #sorryimnotsorry)

JD and Turk: Scrubs

I don't even know where to begin with these two. Dare I say, their friendship is flawless. They have the same level of weirdness and their hugs are the stuff dreams are made of. In all seriousness they take care of each other and have for years - since college, then med school, on to residency and even as the venture out to be real doctors with families. I could honestly write for hours of my favorite scenes with them, but I will only share one. The hospital where they worked had basketball hoop outside that many of the employees would use. One time, JD and Turk are playing and JD (who isn't very good) gets hit in the head goes unconscious. Turk lays down next to JD and when JD wakes up he asks Turk why they are both of the ground. Turk tells him that he didn't want JD to be embarrassed so he laid down next to him so people would think they were "chillin'."

Those are my favorite TV besties, which was very hard to narrow down! Who are your favorites?

Top 5: TV Shows

Veronica Mars:

I adore this show. I didn't actually watch it until it was over and all the seasons were on Netflix. I wanted so badly to know who had caused the bus crash in Season 2 that I literally stayed up all night watching it and finished that season about 6:00 AM. Veronica Mars has so many great elements that make it an amazing show. First - Veronica herself - she is funny, witty, smart and beautiful. She was the girl I wish I could be. If you don't love her then we can't be friends - seriously. Other awesome elements - Veronica & Wallace's friendship, Veronica's dad, the mysteries and Logan. Oh how I loved Logan! If Veronica and Logan end up together in the movie, I think my life may be complete.

Teen Wolf:
Although the title is a little cheesy, this show is awesome! I love the action/fighting/supernatural elements that make the show exciting, but the characters are what truly drive the show. Stiles and Scott's friendship is my favorite. Lydia and Allison are awesome because they hold their own and as the show continues they grow more into their own tough characters rather than just pretty faces. I could go on and on about each character (Derek, Issac, Ms. McCall, Boyd...) but I will spare you. If you haven't given this show a chance - you need to do so!

Pretty Little Liars:

So this show actually is a smig cheesy, but I still love it. I love ths plot twist, the fashion, and the creepy clues A is always leaving. I tune in every week to watch what will happen to the girls as A rips up their lives and I try every week to guess who red coat is. I try to pick up clues from the end scenes whenever we see A doing something while wearing the black hoodie with the matching black gloves. I even read blogs that give therories as to who may be apart of the A team or who is Red Coat; you could say I am a little obsessed. Plus, theres all those cute boys!

The Walking Dead:

If I had to pick a favorite supernatural villain it would probably be zombies. Although werewolves are a a close second. Vampires come in dead last (Sorry, I'm not Sorry).  So when I found out there was a show dedicated to zombies and it wouldn't just end after two hours like a movie, I jumped on it. I watched the first season (only 6 episodes) in one night on Netflix. I was instantly hooked. But it isn't just the creepy zombies that make the show (although they are awesome and scary) it is how the show looks into what the world would be like if this really happened. Zombie movies show the scariness of the monsters and people trying to escape, but this show takes it further as it shows how people would react. It gives insight to human nature when faced with disasters. Again, like all the shows I love, I becomes very attached to the characters and during season 3, I actually sobbed - yes sobbed - when one of my favorite characters died. So, if you haven't check out The Walking Dead - you should because Season 4 starts in October!

Weeds:

Nancy Botwin is my hero. This was another Netflix show for me and I was obsessed with watching it. Nancy is sort of a horrible mother, but I loved watching her try her best to provide for her kids, even if she did it by selling weed. The trouble that this family got into was all over the place but I loved ever minute of it. The best part was that even though they did horrible things, even to each other, they remained a family. The end of the series is actually a little sad but the show was still amazing. Side note: Every time I watch it, I wanted Iced Coffee...anyone else?

So there are my Top 5 favorite shows, in no particular order. What are yours?
